Welcome Friends!
Avon Faire is a female singing group from New York City, featuring 3-part harmony vocal arrangements of traditional Celtic and English folk songs. We love these songs from hundreds of years ago, and are excited to keep this music alive and well!
Avon Faire is New York City’s fun, female vocal harmony group, reimagining traditional Celtic folk songs, medieval story ballads, rousing pub tunes, romantic classics and sea shanties from Ireland and the British Isles! Featuring Kath Green and Andriette Redmann, along with singer/recorderist Anna Marie Spallina, dancer/harpist Dawn Daniels and percussionist John Rokosny.
Avon Faire has recorded 2 CDs; debut album “Riddles and Love Songs”, and current release “Tales of Love and Adventure”, as well as the Sephardic Lullaby 'Durme, Durme', which is featured on the soundtrack to the Emmy nominated film "They Survived Together". All are available for purchase, along with t shirts and other goodies, here: AVON FAIRE SHOP
“Tales of Love and Adventure” also features special guests Cáit O’Riordan of The Pogues, Cillian Vallely of Lúnasa, and noted cellist Jane Scarpantoni.
Two new videos have been released as well!! 'South Australia' featuring Cáit O'Riordan, and 'The Jolly Beggar' featuring dancers Dawn Daniels and Niall O'Leary!! You can see them now on our 'NEWS' page here: AF NEWS & REVIEWS
And watch this space for the next two videos soon to be released - 'Leave Her Johnny' featuring Cáit, and 'Skye Boat Song' featuring Cáit and dancer Dawn.
2022 has been a busy year so far for Avon Faire! In addition to releasing and promoting the new album with radio interviews and videos - live shows are back, with the band playing at NYC's The Bitter End in June and SI's Noble Maritime Museum in July.
In August the band headed over to England for their fifth UK tour, playing their way around the country, including 2 weekends at The Loxwood Joust in Sussex, and a return engagement at the Cropredy Folk Festival in Oxfordshire. Then on returning stateside they were thrilled to play again at the New York Renaissance Faire for two weekends in August and September!

"We are so excited to be traveling and playing on stage again, it's lovely to be able to perform live and experience that personal connection with the audience."
"Enchanting", says Tim Carroll / FolkWords UK, "Listening to these perfectly balanced voices adds an entrancing level of attraction. If hitting ‘replay’ is any judge, then it certainly makes its mark".
"Lovely stuff", says Dave Pegg of Fairport Convention.
Avon Faire performs in concert, folk and art venues and at historic festivals and special events, sharing their magical vocal blend and songs with love.
